Class Dismissed

Carly sat in the back of the class room, long blonde hair draping over her face as the teacher talked about what NOT to do over the summer. Just a few more seconds... BBBRRRIIINNNGGG! "YES!" She shot up, hair bouncing. She grabbed her stuff and ran to the door. She ran to her locker, opening it as fast as lightning. She hurriedly ran to the lunch line and grabbed her food. She ate alone, hating being the new kid, but excited to run outside and sit in the garden. She looked around hoping someone, anyone, would sit next to her for a change.

Danny got his lunch and looked around. He saw a girl sitting by herself and walked over to her, sitting down at the lunch table he looked up at her, "New kid? Ya, me too."

She smiled, "Hi, I'm Carly. Yeah, I was home schooled. But then... Nevermind, its not your problem."

Danny nodded, "Okay, ya I just moved here. From Colorado, me and my sister."

She nodded.

He pushed food around on his plate, unsure what to say next. He put a bite of noodles in his mouth.

Out of nowhere, a slice of pizza landed on her head. Carly glared at the sauce dripping from her hair, onto her shirt. She lifted her eyes up, straight ahead, grabbing her tray and stepping off the seat. Her eyes were half squinting, her mouth locked in an angry line. She pulled her pizza off the tray and slapped it in the girl behind hers face. she sat back down, a smug grin on her face, scauce still dripping from her hair. She shoved the pizza in the corner of the tray, laughing.

Danny dropped his mouth open slightly and laughed. He knew he would get in trouble for this later... but he didn't care, he stood up and yelled out,"FOOD FIGHT!!!" people all around started throwing food every which way and he laughed as a handful of mashed potatoes hit him in his leg. He picked up a piece of chicken, putting ketchup all over it and threw it towards the guy that had thrown the mashed potatoes.

Carly was screaming with joy. She would take a million detentions for this much fun. She grabbed her mashed potatos with one hand, plopping them in some pink-covered girls hair. She grabbed the potatos of her head and shoved them, hard, into the girls purse.

Danny laughed and took a bowl of spaghetti sauce and poured it over Crarly's head.

She gasped, strugling to breathe. She was having way to much fun. She grinned as she ran her fingers through the ketchup, trying to grab as much as possible. When she finally had the majority of it, she ran it all over Dannys face. She quickly turned and grabbed a random cheese up and dumped it on Dannys head.

Danny laughed as he picked up some mashed potatoes mixed with peach juice and rubbed it in her face.

She laughed and threw the potatos from her face to the ground in front of a walking teacher. She didn't realize that it was a teacher untill the figure hit the ground. But as soon as she realized whi it was, she grabbed Dannys arm and dragged him away.

Danny followed her. He took something out of his pocket and put it in his mouth. "Gum?"

"Yes, please." By now the teacher was running after them.

Danny handed her a price then grabbed her hand and turned the other way. He led them around the corner, giving them enough time to hide before the teacher cought them. He saw a janitor closet and he dragged her inside, shutting the door behind him.

She popped the gum in her mouth. "Boy, I've never had so much fun."

He pressed his finger to her lips. "Shh." He heard footsteps outside the door. He leaned closer to her and whispered in her ear, "Me too."

She turned her head the slightest amount, and caught a glimpse of the figure looking for them. Oh, please don't let my phone ring . . .

Danny grabbed Carly around the waist and pulled her closer into the corner, when he realized what he was doing he pulled his hands from around her waist.

She blushed and nodded a thakyou.

Danny smiled. The shadow outside moved away and Danny waited a minute. He peeked open the door and saw the teacher was gone. "Okay. Coast is clear."

She sighed, realived.

He smiled, "Well that was fun."

She smiled, too, "Yeah, definaltly."
